This tree has been a part of Damian’s life since he was 1. I wanted to both touch the tree to hold its memory and archive it before his home (his mother’s home) goes to sale. His mum died recently and the house this tree stands in the front of—guarding its integrity as a domestic space—is about to be sold. 55 years of continuous presence to be lost.
