Significance of tree

I adore this tree. I walk past it regularly and sometimes under its soaring canopy. It reminds me of being a child and being small. This tree was planted in friendship in 1935. Like Canberra it was once quite small. Now its sweeping lower boughs brush the ground and its life form sustains much life – insects, birds and more. This tree’s gift of friendship continues on.
